GPS location data embedded in your digital photos. Let's hope you never have to outrun the government. If there's one movie that has succeeded in putting the absolute fear of God into us, it's The Bourne Ultimatum. In it, an amnesiac Matt Damon jets off to a series of exotic locations in a bid to discover why he's suspiciously good at killing people, hacking computers and outrunning shadowy government security forces. As he hops from nation to nation getting into scrapes, said forces endeavour to find him by granting a roomful of nerds access to every surveillance camera, satellite image, passenger list, criminal record and national database in the known world. It's all a bit silly, but it's certainly food for thought if you're the paranoid type. In these days of sat nav, mobile phones and the intertubes, spying must be a whole lot easier. Heaven knows what MI5 would do to us if they found out we buy DVDs about trains from Amazon. Oh Jesus. They probably already know. "The Gisteq Phototrackr - a gadget so bleeding edge they didn't even have time to spell it properly"But then, there is an alternative to worrying about all this traceability, and that's not to give a damn. Whether you're buying piles cream, being a secret nerd or emailing that nice looking one from accounts suggesting sex in the stationery cupboard, there are theoretically thousands of people who could call up your embarrassments onto their screen and have a hearty old chuckle. It's really no different to the people at the passport office mocking your mugshot. So, you can either sit there fretting or just embrace your lack of digital privacy. You're a human, therefore you're an idiot and there's no point denying it. The likelihood that men in suits will turn up at your door one morning and give you 24 hours to kill the King of Burma before they tell everyone you know on Facebook that you're a trainspotter is, frankly, far fetched.
The advantage of embracing your total lack of privacy is that you can make full use of amazing devices like the Gisteq Phototrackr, a gadget so bleeding edge they didn't even have time to spell it properly. This pebble sized widget unites with your camera to record exactly where your pictures were taken
