Rare photographic footage of a Rouge

ONE OF the World of Warcraft’s best characters is the Rouge. The Rouge is a melee character like a Warrior, but with a number of small differences. First off, the Rouge can only wear Rubber armor, making it easy to kill with melee attacks. Secondly, instead of a Rage bar which moves cost some of, the Rouge has a different kind of bar, and moves cost some of that. Thirdly, the Rouge also has a “combo point” system, which builds up every time it hits you. When it gets to the top number of points it starts flashing, and the Rouge can do a super move, which causes the background to turn into moving line things like in Japanese cartoons, and the Rouge’s face flashes on the screen, followed by a special move.

The most important thing about the Rouge class is that it is allowed to cheat using Stealth. This makes the Rouge invisible to everyone except Worlocks that have their Felguard initialised, so they can sneak up on Mags or Preists and murder them before they notice. To help them with this murder, the Rouge has two main buttons, “Stun” and “Kill,” which they press alternately until the opponent dies. The Burning Crusade will remove the first of these two buttons, as it is overpowered.

Like all character classes in World of Warcraft The Rouge has three talent trees, called Swords, Daggers and Running Away. The Swords tree is mainly designed for dungeon use, and features talents such as Improved Sword Damage and Dungeon Boost. The Daggers tree is for cheating with on battlegrounds. Every talent, including the 31 point talent Stun XV, gives a new and more irritating type of stun move. Finally the Running Away tree gives Rouges extra options for defensive cheating, although most Rouges ignore this tree because it is considered “gay.”

Tricks of the trade - the tactics that will help you become the greatest WoW player.

(1) Have as good gear as you can.

(2) Always try to approach enemies in stealth before attacking them

(3) The powerfulness of your weapons is very important. It can mean the difference between killing and being killed. For example, if you have a bad dagger you might die, but if you have a very good dagger you might do so much damage with it that your opponent dies. Therefore try to have good weapons.

(4) The standard action bar is unnecessary for a Rouge. Custom UIs can be downloaded which condense the Rouge’s attacks into two large buttons in the middle of the screen.

(5) If all else fails, the Rouge has a secret move accessed by pressing Up, Down, Left, Right, A, B and Start, which burrows into the ground and away from danger.

A typically devious Rouge weapon - this can be hidden in a sock or tucked behind a tooth
